Giant Skeletons Found: Proof of Nephilim!

Introduction

Whether a person believes in Jesus or not, they have heard of the stories of the Nephilim, a group of giant people who once walked the face of the earth. Who are they? Where did they come from? What's their origin? People are fascinated with this story. Some believe they existed while others don't. I for one believe they actually existed. Why is that? They were mentioned in the bible and I believe in God and His Word. For some who do acknowledge their existence, believe the Nephilim were the children of fallen angels and women. They even try to use bible scripture to state their case. I'm about to prove that to be false while using the bible. The problem with this misinterpretation is the misinterpretation of the phrase "sons of God".

Could these pics be Real?

Meanings of "sons of God"

Did you know the phrase "sons of God" has more than one meaning? Yes it does. Before I begin, let's look at Genesis where they are first mentioned. Genesis 6:4: "There were giants (the Nephilim) in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown." People have misinterpreted this passage for a long time. If you look at Genesis 6:4 you will notice something. What you will notice is the Nephilim (giants) are mentioned before the "sons of God" married the daughters of men. What the bible is saying the Nephilim existed before these unions between the "sons of God" and the daughters of men. So the Nephilim can't be the offspring of angels and women because if you look closely at Genesis 6:4 they were already in existence. Notice in that verse, it not only mentions them, but the phrase "and also after that" precedes the "sons of God" marrying the daughters of men. This means the Nephilim existed before those particular marriages.

Who are the "sons of God" in Genesis 6:4? The "sons of God" in Genesis 6:4 are the descendants of Adam and Eve's son Seth. The daughters of men are the female descendants of Cain. One of the meanings of "sons of God" is children of God or believers of God. Here are a couple of examples of this in the bible. Philippians 2:15-16: "(15) That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; (16) Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain." 1 John 3:1-2: "(1) Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. (2) Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is." Now if you look back at those last couple of passages, you will see "sons of God" refers to people, not angels. The "sons of God" in Genesis 6:4 were the male descendants of Seth. They were believers of God. The daughters of men were the female descendants of Cain. Remember, Cain was the wicked son of Adam and Eve who killed his brother Abel. More on Cain later.

The phrase "sons of God" also means angels. Job 1:6-8: (6) Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them. (7) And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. (8) And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?" Job 2:1: "Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the Lord." In Job 1 & 2 the phrase "sons of God" does refer to angels. Satan is mentioned among them because he used to be an angel. Remember Satan was once called Lucifer, his angelic name. He convinced 1/3 of God's angels to rebel against God and try to takeover, but Jesus kicked Satan and those rebellious angels out of heaven. Luke 10:17-18: "(17) And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. (18) And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven." So the angels who were kicked out of heaven are now called fallen angels, demons, demonic spirits, evil spirits, just to name a few.

So when people look at Genesis 6:4 and see the phrase "sons of God" they mistakenly take it to mean angels when in Genesis 6:4 it doesn't. Also the Nephilim existed before those unions between the "sons of God" and the daughters of men. So who are the Nephilim descendants of? They are descended from Adam and Eve.

Adam and Eve

Reminder: God created man (mankind) in His own image. Genesis 1:26-28: "(26) And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. (27) So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. (28) And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth." I wanted to remind people that God created man in His image. Also, the Nephilim can't be the offspring of angels and women. Why is this? The first reason is because Jesus Christ said that angels can't mate with humans. Matthew 22:29-30: "(29) Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. (30) For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven." In Matthew 22:23-34, the Sadducees who didn't believe in the resurrection or life after death came to Jesus asking him questions. They wondered if a woman was married multiple times before she dies, who would she be married to in the afterlife. This is why Christ gave them the response of men and women will be similar to angels in heaven. The Sadducees assumed if there was a resurrection, life would be no different than on earth.

To make a long story short, angels can't mate with humans as said so by God Himself in the person of Jesus Christ. God intended for sex to be between one man and one woman in a marriage for one lifetime. Of course there are exceptions such as death. A widow or a widower can remarry. Also sex is confined to the realm of earth.

So Adam and Eve are the parents of the entire human race. We (mankind) are descendants of them. Mankind can only reproduce with mankind and nothing else. Remember the bible calls Eve "the mother of all living". Genesis 3:20: And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living." Since Jesus Himself said angels can't mate with humans, mankind can only mate with mankind, and the bible states Eve as "the mother of all living", then why are people saying the Nephilim are the children of fallen angels and women? Answer: because they are misled and confused by Satan. God is the author of confusion. 1 Corinthians 14:33: "For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints." Since God is not the author of confusion, then this means the devil is the author of confusion. Note: in order for a person to understand the bible they must believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior. 1 Corinthians 2:5, 10, 13-15: (5) That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. (10)  But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. (13) Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. (14) But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. (15) But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man." The bible is no ordinary book like Moby Dick or the works of Shakespeare. This book was written by holy men as they were led of the Holy Ghost. Sometimes the bible is figurative, other times it's literal, but it's always spiritual. Bottom line: in order for a person to understand the bible, they must believe in Jesus. It's the Father & Son who continually send the Holy Spirit to believers for guidance, comfort, and to understand the bible.

Cain

You thought I forgot about Cain, didn't you? Remember Cain killed his brother Abel. Genesis 4:8: "And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him." Cain and Abel were the first two children of Adam and Eve. Abel was righteous and a believer of Christ. Cain was wicked and his heart belonged to Satan. Abel and Cain each made an offering to the Lord. Abel made an animal sacrifice to God whereas Cain offered the fruit of the ground. God accepted Abel's offering, but rejected Cain's offering. Why is that? Abel not only gave God the best of his flock, but most importantly Abel made the offering in faith to the Lord God. Cain didn't give his offering in faith. God does accept grain offerings, but Cain did not have faith in Jesus which is why God rejected the offering. Cain was jealous of his brother and killed him. God punishes Cain for this sin of murder. Genesis 4:9-16: "(9)And the Lord said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper? (10) And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground. (11) And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand; (12) When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth. (13) And Cain said unto the Lord, My punishment is greater than I can bear. (14) Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me. (15) And the Lord said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the Lord set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him. (16) And Cain went out from the presence of the Lord, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden."

God put a mark on Cain and kicked him out of Eden. People have made the assumption that because God didn't end Cain's life, this means he was a believer of Christ. This is quite the opposite. God wanted Cain to repent and seek Jesus in faith. Cain never did. He was wicked and it says so in the bible. 1 John 3:12: "Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous." The reference to the "wicked one" is the devil. So yes Cain was a devil worshipper. To reject Christ is to accept Satan. So God blessed Adam and Eve with another son named Seth, who was righteous like Abel. Abel was killed before he could get married and have a family which is another reason why God was angry with Cain. By the way, Adam and Eve did have other children. How many? The bible don't say. What I will say is that men like Cain and Abel married their sisters. Before people get weird and holler incest, you must understand that the world's population started with two people, Adam and Eve. In the beginning, relatives were marrying relatives to populate the earth. Then after God destroyed mankind with the Great Flood, minus Noah, his wife, his sons, and their wives, people were allowed to marry their relatives to repopulate the earth. Once the numbers were large enough, God instituted the rule against incest which means no more marrying of relatives, particularly close relatives like siblings, parents, uncles, aunts, etc. We are all related, but we are not closely related. So there's enough people in the world to marry. To marry a close relative would be a sin.

Sorry for being long, but I thought I address some other matters. After Cain killed his brother and was punished by God, He had forbidden the godly line of Seth (sons of God) from marrying the ungodly line of Cain (the daughters of men). However, some of Seth's descendants didn't heed this warning and they married the ungodly women as mentioned in Genesis 6:4. That's what that verse is about.

Conclusion

Man was never meant to die which is why Jesus died on the cross. Adam sinned by eating the forbidden fruit. Since we are descendants of Adam and Eve we all share in this curse which includes death. However, by faith in Christ, a person can have eternal life with a new glorified body of course. Our current fleshly bodies are tainted with sin. As for these giants, they were real. After the fall of man, people lived a long time before death. Adam lived to be 930. Back then, the entire earth was one big tropical climate. We lived longer. The air was better so with longer life spans and better conditions mankind grew taller. God has since then, cut back the life span of people so living past 100 for us now would be living past 900 for them back then. We don't know how tall Adam and Eve were. They could have been average height ot they could have 8 ft tall. How tall were the Nephilim? I'm not sure about that either. They have found remains of skeletons of tall people. Some I believe are fake, but others are not. Remember people do grow to be over 8 ft tall today. Leonid Stadnik from the Ukraine had passed away last year. He was believed to be about 8 ft 4in, but he refused to be measured bu Guiness Book of World's Records.

Review of Temperature of Art

Fantastic Poetry!

This book, by T. Ponder contains a beautiful collection of poems. They are short, but they convey the writer's passion for life. I must admit one of the poems I didn't like, but just because I didn't, it doesn't mean you won't. The overall collection of poetry was superb. I laughed at one in particular. I won't say too much because it woyld be a spoiler alert. All I will say it has a surprise within it. Here's one of the poems from this interesting book:

Poem; "Wonder Woman"

All of a sudden you're bleak
I wonder what made you change
The qualities I used to see
In you still remain
Seems genuineness is detained
I wonder what made you change
Stress, makeup, or confidence
Looks aren't everything
Although you have them
Personality is key, you got it
Confident, less makeup, no stress
Small measures with no progress
Life is like a quest
Woman I wonder where we could go

There's a couple of short stories near the end of the book. One of which is about the author. They were pretty good, but not necessarily my cup of tea. However, this doesn't mean other people won't like it. By the way, Mr. Ponder has persevered through tough times in his life, such as the lost of is mom to cancer. To quote from his bio: "T. Ponder writes to touch readers through realism, insight, and humor. Covering topics such as: love, depression, achievement, and life experience." He's certainly an indie author who's on the rise! Overall I'd say this book is a must read.

Inspirational Poem: Selfish

Selfish

I am selfish, I try not to be but I am.
I guess its part of my sin nature to be selfish.
I don't want to help others unless there's something in it for me.
All I can think about is myself.
All I care about is three people: me, myself, and I.
The world teaches us to be selfish;
Go for yours and do anything to get yours,
No matter whom you hurt even if it's yourself.
I am selfish; I only want to do what pleases me.
I am selfish; I can't stop writing about myself in this poem.
How can I stop being selfish?
Oh I know learn from the teachings of Christ, Who was selfless and not selfish.
He gave His life for us so that we may live forever with Him.
There is nothing that He won't do for us.
That's who I should be more like,
Like Christ so I can become selfless and stop being so selfish...
This poem is apart of the poetry chapbook "Cordell's Poems of Spiritual Inspiration: Second Edition" which is available as an ebook and paperback.

Review of "Let's Finish the Game"

A Compelling Book!

This book is a great read. It's comprised of multiple short stories covering different genres such as horror and sci-fi. Let's Finish the Game is a well written and thought out book of Christian fiction! There are a few grammatical errors here and there. The page numbers are missing, but don't let that deter you from a spectacular book. Besides, the stories are short and easy to find, not to mention keeping you on pins and needles. This author is as talented as the great horror writers out today. I won't name the writers. You know who they are. I won't give any spoilers. I will say that there are twists and turns throughout this fantastic piece of writing. The stories are so descriptive you can just picture what the character, scenes, and everything else would look like, act like and etc. It's the kind of book they make short films out of.

In the words of the author: "The first of its kind: A book featuring action, drama, horror, romance, sci-fi, comedy, suspense, thrills, chills, and spills! This book will keep you entertained to the very end." My sentiments exactly. So I highly recommend this book.

Ebony: A Christian with Many Talents

Ebony: Passionate for Jesus

I wanted to change things a bit for this particular post. Let me introduce you to Ebony, a believer of Christ who is beautiful, brilliant, and has many talents like being a singer, songwriter, and comedienne. Her music is a combo of alternative, rock, soul, r&b and gospel. Her music is not to be confined to one genre so no need to put her in a box. Her music glorifies Christ and soothes the soul, kind of like David playing the Harp for King Saul. Well I'll let her music do the talking. Check out this video called Metamorphsis:

Christian Poem: "God Is..."

God Is...
God is...omniscient which means He is all-knowing
He knows what we will do before we do it.
God is...omnipresent
He is everywhere,
We can't hide from God.
God is...Omnipotent
He is all-powerful
There's no limit to His power.
God is...The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit
He is The Father of Heaven, earth, creation and
The unique Father of Christ.
He is The Son who died for our sins and rose
To prepare a place in heaven for all believers.
He is The Holy Spirit that dwells in the hearts of believers
Constantly molding us into the image of Christ.
God is...magnificent, wonderful, King of Kings, Lord of Lords.
God is...love.
He has a love that outweighs our faults,
A redeeming love that forgive us of our sins.
We are more valuable than money or gems.
We are priceless to Him.
There are not enough words to describe God's awesome love, power, and
Glory
In short, God is...end of story.
This poem is apart of the poetry chapbook "Cordell's Poems of Spiritual Inspiration: Second Edition" which is available as an ebook and paperback.

Poem: "The Bread of Life"

The Bread of Life

Who is this Bread of Life?
Jesus Christ is this Bread of Life.
A person shall never thirst or hunger by believing in this Bread of Life,
As Jesus once said in John 6:35.
This Bread of Life can do more than just get a person by in this life.
This Bread of Life can give us eternal life.
This Bread of Life can nourish us,
Strengthen us and allow us to grow and flourish,
This Bread of Life will never stale, mold, or perish.
This Bread of Life can save our souls,
This Bread of Life is more than enough for everyone
So don't worry about receiving crumbs,
So may I ask who wants some?
Some of this Bread of Life that can give us eternal life.
So who is The Bread of Life?
Jesus Christ is The Bread of Life.
